“The child, who can now walk and feels confident of his strength, begins to notice the actions of those about him, and tries to do the same things. In this period he imitates not because someone has told him to do so, but because of a deep inner need which he feels”
– Dr Maria Montessori

Our toddler group is an environment where toddlers can develop their motor skills through specially put together activities. Toddlers also work in collaboration with our trained guides, doing baking, gardening, washing up and helping to prepare the table for mealtimes. Our guides assist them in taking responsibility for their own bodies, by patiently allowing them to dress or undress themselves, only helping when asked or called to do so. Toddlers are introduced to using the toilet from around 22 months. Children who are on nappies, are checked at hourly intervals, while children using pull-ups and going to the toilet, are helped to do so.
